Is the CENOMAR needed at the CFO Seminar? (K1 Visa)

Hi guys,

Just want to ask if I'll be asked for my Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) at my CFO seminar? I have my K1 visa already. I had already given the US Embassy my CENOMAR as part of the requirements, and I don't have an extra copy. I read somewhere that they might ask for it at the seminar.

And one more question, what's the validity of the CENOMAR? I have one that I had obtained 8 months ago. Would they accept this? The CENOMAR I submitted to the embassy during my interview was obtained 2 months before my interview (I just got a more recent one just to be sure. This is the one that I don't have an extra copy of). If a CENOMAR is needed, I'm thinking of just showing the old one that I have on hand.

I remember having an extra copy of cenomar just in case CFO asks to see it but they didn't ask for it. I also don't recall anyone from my group getting asked to show their CENOMAR.

However, it is always good to bring one just in case. I didn't care about carrying 2 heavy sets of documents as long as I can produce whatever they ask for on the spot. It's such a hassle to have to go back to them. You would have to adjust to the availability of the CFO employee and this could set you back weeks or months if they decide to be "too busy" to see you. I love being overprepared and doing everything right the first time.

Make copies of your CENOMAR and bring the original. They will take a copy but they need to confirm it against the original. This was confirmed at CFO on April 20 2015 by my Fiance.
