Hi again ?

I got my letter from embassy and I get confused with the date mention about validity. It stated," the petition us approved from status under Section 101(a)(5)(k). It is valid for 4months from the date of action 5/27/15. NVC approved on 01/28/15. And then my question is when do I have to start my days counting for the validity? From NVC approved (01/28/15 or with the USEM letter, which I only got 3days ago 5/27/15? ?? And it happens that date is my interview schedule(5/27/15). What well I do then I'm getting confused now ?.

So, Does it means that my petition is not valid anymore ? and I need to reset it again cause its almost 4months not since Jan.28? ?

? Is there anyone could assist me please? Thank you in advance. God bless

The validity is automatically extended. No need to worry. I was concerned about the same issue and was advised this directly from the embassy. Best of luck!

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

The petition validity date is on the NOA2 approval, NVC has nothing to do with the validity of the petition. As for length of validity the embassy in Manila will automatically extend the validity of the petition up to a year.

You have your MNL # you should be beating feet and getting the visa application done!
