that need additional information. Please review the instructions and send us the required information. If

you do not provide this information, it will delay your immigrant visa interview.

(603) 334-0700 between 7:00am and 12 midnight U.S. Eastern Time.

When you send us your response, include a copy of this letter. Also, clearly write your case number

on the upper right-hand corner of every document you send.

After you email or mail the requested information, allow us 60 business days to review your response.

When we complete our review, we will send you information about the next processing step.

If a period of one year passes without contacting the NVC (by email, telephone, or mail), all

submitted fees and documents will expire. If this happens, you will need to resubmit the fees and

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this

letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar

code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the

address provided.

______2 - PASSPORT:________________________________________________

Please submit a copy of the biographic data page of this person's

passport, including the expiration date of the passport. The

passport must be valid.

______3 - BIRTH CERTIFICATE:_______________________________________

Please submit this applicant's photocopy of the original document listed above. Each applicant must send

a photocopy of the original birth certificate issued by the official custodian of birth records in the country

of birth, showing the date and place of birth, and the parentage of the alien, based upon the original

registration of birth.

Documents must be from the appropriate issuing authority. Failure to provide the correct document will

delay your case and may result in rescheduling of your interview or refusal of a visa.

The certificate must contain the following information:

Person's date of birth

Person's place of birth

Names of both parents, and

Annotation by the appropriate authority indicating that it is an extract from the official records

If the certificate is a photocopy of the certified original document, it must come from the issuing

government authority and it must contain annotation by the issuing authority indicating that it is an

extract from the official records.

- A baptismal certificate that contains the date and place of birth, as well as both parents names

(providing the baptism took place shortly after birth)

- An adoption decree for an adopted child

All documents not in English or in the official language of the country where the visa application will be

processed must be accompanied by a certified translation. Your translation must include a statement by

the translator which includes the following:

Translator is competent to translate

______10 - NIGERIA POLICE CERTIFICATE:_____________________________

NIGERIA: Available, including for those living abroad. The Nigerian police force no longer accepts

requests made through the American Embassy. Requests should be addressed to The Deputy Inspector

General, Criminal Investigation Department, Nigerian Police Force, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos,

Nigeria. Fee should be in the form of an international bank draft payable to the Deputy Inspector

General of Police, Fingerprint Section, Nigerian Police Force.

The applicant's letter must state full name, place and date of birth, nationality, passport number, date and

place of issuance (for current passport or passport used during applicant's stay in Nigeria), exact periods

of residence in Nigeria and addresses where applicant resided. Each applicant 16 years of age and over

must enclose (1) a copy of the first three data pages of his or her passport, (2) the pages containing

Nigerian visas, entry and departure stamps and (3) a complete set of fingerprints taken by the police in

the district where the applicant resides.

Well looks false because nothing was checked. Did you call NVC to verify? Always verify with them that all is well.

I call d NVC dis moning a lady answer d phone stating I hv to re send d a birth certificate,biographic page of passport and a police report bt all dis hv been sent to dem execpt police report,I guess I hv no choice to send all bk to dem again..........now my question is dis sending by e-mail or courier which is more reliable and faster,pls Vjs
