A quick question...the check list that i received in the Welcome letter has 4 sections out of which section 3. Supporting documents

Which documents they r asking for Petitioner Documents i.e. copy of birth certificate of petitioner as we as passport and greencard ???

Another thing is Translations ......I already have all documents in English and i am not going to submit any documents in mother language so do i have to check that as Enclosed or it should be Not Applicable..????

If you have translations or document in native language, you need to submit copies of both english and hindi. They do not accept translation or true copy(notorized copy). They need both. You need to submit copy only and have applicant take original at interview.

Hi Habel - I paid the fees yesterday (4/28) and it took almost 30 hours before it changed from IN Process to PAID. As soon as the status changed, I had access to the DS-260. I've filled out 99% of it and just waiting on clarification from my wife on one section. The DS-260 will take close to an hour to complete if you are fully prepared. Once that is done my lawyer will be ready to submit everything. Unfortunately they won't be able to submit everything as soon as I hoped because they are waiting on the police clearance certificate for my wife from the UK. We are going to pay for expedited service and hopefully that will be available next week. Once it gets here, we will submit everything else. I might just go ahead and submit the AOS documents as that is ready. But yea, keep checking in once every hour to see if the fee status changed to PAID.

I am surprised how they invoiced both AOS and IV fees at once.... coz usually they first invoice AOS fees and give access to DS-261,

Only after ur DS-261 is reviewed then only they invoice IV fees....and after that ur DS-260 is available

I tried to pay IV fees but nuthing is showing for me....The status for AOS is Paid now.....Even i cant access DS-260 at this moment..

Any comments ...

I got it....U guys have a lawyer therefore ur DS-261 is waived....The benefit here is that in order to get IV fees invoiced ur DS-261 should be reviewed by NVC and since ur DS-261 is waived ....NVC invoiced both fees at once for u...Thats good thing for u and when ur IV fees will show paid u will get access to DS-260 ...so u will end up very quickly....So congrats for that .....:dance::dance:

I just spoke with CSR at NVC and she told me that until my DS-261 is reviewed i cant get invoiced for IV fees and DS-260...I told that its completed on Monday and so she checked and told me Yes its completed....So i told her if she could review it over phone and she tried but my DS-261 is still not in their system so she couldn't do anything...She advised me to call next week and if it comes in their system they can review that over phone....

So probably next week i will try...
