i'm not understanding why you have 2 scan dates when you sent all your stuff in on the same day. is this normal procedure? i'm sad for you too. seems like the rules/procedures are always changing. what gives? grrrrrrr

I sent my AOS and IV documents on 1/26. I realized I needed to send in proof of US domicile after the fact, and sent it on 2/18. I was told on the phone by more than one rep that the new docs would just get put with the old ones and keep the same scan date. I was hopeful but turns out that wasn't true.

If it helps - I will be crying with you!! If they did that to you then they will also count my March 9th fiasco as a new scan date which puts my anticipated CC in May instead of April. BUT I refuse to give up hope and we should call and bother them and keep on asking!!!! Squeaky wheels and all!!!! I will be writing a very lomg letter to the media once this is over. Im so over this ridiculous treatment.

I know I thought of you immediately. I REALLY hope this doesn't happen to you too! I'll keep hoping for you! We are wondering if we should just go ahead and ask for a supervisor review, but maybe they wouldn't even give it to us or it wouldn't be for the 2/18 docs. Sigh. This will be over one day and we'll make it to the other side! I'd love to read that long letter, I'm sure it'll have lots of choice words!

oh #######, really. I cannot believe what i am reading!!! promises, promises!!! argh!!!

if they haven't started the review why can't they just add the new stuff to the old? it would be no different than adding the old stuff to the new.... :girlwerewolf2xn:

to me this is no different when they send you an email saying 'one or more of your files is password protected, please unlock and resend'....from what i understand your scan date on this remains the same. argh....I just don't get them....

if only we could get the passionate eye or 20/20 or the like to review them....grrrrrrr

I think my lesson from all of this is not to panic. We all get mad and frustrated, and thise of us whi waited longer at the USCIS stage are probably even more easily upset. I panicked and resent docs on advice of people who are KNOWN to be notoriously wrong. So lets just track our dates, document our conversations, and NOT let this define our mood for the day or week. We HAVE outside lives that we should live BUT I still think bringing this to the attention of Congresspeople, Senators, media etc is key!!

All in all, this sucks but I remain hopeful and dedicated to sticking through it with all of you!:)

Yeah, maybe I will stick to this thread. Someone got a CC from Feb 23rd. I don't even know what to say. Yet the NVC rep told me that it all goes in order and that email is FASTER. Yeah. Ok.

Hang in there TwoChickies!

Some people in the March NVC Filers thread say they were told by NVC reps that they have been having problems on there end with Electronic submissions and that is the reason for the delay. Apparently the issues are still ongoing too so it's not looking good...but I don't know how much you can believe from what the reps say...you get a different story every time. Or hey...maybe those people on the thread are just lying to us!!....oh my!! Haha -_-

LOL yeah I saw that. I was going to call NVC, and was getting all worked up and then decided that I'm taking a break from the VJ and the NVC this week. No amount of meditation makes up for how angry I am for all of the EP folks (myself included). Yet calling the NVC is useless - I see it as a giant black hole. So if I get an email about something good this week i.e. EP moving lighting fast all of a sudden:), that's great but I will not be holding my breath. And if I don't, nothing's changed! If I do hear anything at all I will let you all know.

Hugs to all. m

I know how you feel! And I know you've been at this way longer than me so I shouldn't even be complaining but it is sooo hard to watch people with dates way after mine get finished in such a short time. It is just plain unfair!! And we have done nothing to deserve getting left behind. I keep telling myself every night I will stop checking and take a break but then at some point during the next day I just need to know! I feel like I'm coming unglued a little. Anywho you are not alone, so yes, take a break and when you return we will be here! Take care!

LOL So I am breaking my own promise to myself and posting :) But only because your post was so nice and encouraging! And also because I TOO am working on not becoming unglued;)

Just wanted to say thank you!! Any news from Steven and Alice? Did you guys ask for a supervisor review yet?

We wanted to but we got cold feet today. We dont know what to do :(

And it is such a pity we are the small minority getting left behind .. because we chose EP. It's such a stupid idea. I know how everyone feels here. Watching people left and right getting CC and we are left hanging :( It makes me sick to the stomach.

Oh dear. I apologize if this has been considered but have you guys tried your Congressperson? Just called them up and explained?? It's been waaaay beyond what the NVC said it would be. They WILL intervene on occasion. Also, I WOULD try calling and asking for someone to review. I know they say 40 days, but it DOES NOT take 30 or 42 or however many cockamamie days they come up with for supervisor reviews.

I understand the fear of doing anything at this point in case it makes things longer. BUT ASKING for something they WROTE is not out of line. I'd be polite but firm and ask them to review what has happened with your case. And I would not bring up the 31 day CCs, because that just seems to make them angrier.

Just my 2 cents. Mind you, remember that I screwed MYSELF over by being proactive, but I did something I knew I shouldn't do, and you have a legitimate reason to be more than a bit annoyed with them.

Do we know the average review time from a supervisor? Should we do that tomorrow afternoon or Monday? It's only been 70 days though.

We haven't brought up anything since it did nothing for us. At this point, we just want answers.

What happened to your case?
