Quick question about 3 years ago I got married and petitioned for my ex husband, we recently got divorced but we have been seperated for quite a while now. I'm in a new relationship and my current spouse needs to adjust status. If i marry my current boyfriend will it be a problem if I adjust status for him since I already petition for my ex husband.

Did your ex husband get a GC through you? is your boyfriend from the same country as your ex? when are you planning to marry your boyfriend?

I have seen people doing that. A friend of had the dilema that you have. She divorced the first husband, and later married her husband, who needed to adjust his status as well. Everything went fine because as long as you can prove that you are in a real marriage, there is no reason for denial. One thing that immigration does when this kind of things happens is that INVESTIGATE A LOT. They look into every single detail, and they are VERY, VERY CAREFUL INTO LOOKING INTO THE NEW MARRIAGE. However, I think that you should make an appointment with an immigration lawyer and find out more details about it.
