Hi,

we had our AOS interview on Tuesday and the officer said that we cant be approved that day becuause of pending FBI checks. Then he explained us, that our folder is going to stay in Santa Ana office until the name check is complete and then he will approve it and I will get the green card. The night after interview I got an emai (below) in which it says our case is in the Missouri center, what does it mean???? I am confused :help: Is it normal proces after the interview with peniding FBI name check or does it mean something else????

Has anybody else got an email like that after the AOS interview?????

They don't seem to ever put the District Office as the location of the file, instead they put the Missouri Service Center whenever a file is at any of the DO's. At least, this is the observation I've made. Only other location I've ever seen listed of AOS files is at CSC.

Same message that has been on our file for months. It's just saying you are stuck in name check. Why the messages say the files are at Missouri is a mystery to me.

Its because the web script that creates that page simply checks the first 3 digits of your case number and translates that into text to insert into the standard blurb. Someone at managing the USCIS website clearly thought they were being geniuses by doing that. They seem to have missed how misleading and downright confusing it is.
