Can't register for Loomis services, but have an interview date!

Hi everyone, I'm new to these forums, though I've lurked here for a bit, and I've used some of the amazing guides on this website :) I'm sorry if this is a repeat issue, but I didn't see anyone with the same problem.

My wife is the one who's immigrating from Canada to the US with a CR1, and everything else has gone (fairly) smoothly, but this one issue just came up a few days ago. We're trying to register for courier services so we can get her passport returned after the interview, which is scheduled already for mid April and we have the email and all that.

However, the courier services website is a mess. It was upgraded, which I'm sure all of you know ... I was messing around on it for a while before i realized it kept sticking me on the NON-immigrant visa page. I found the IV page finally, and we started, but then hit this snag: It says:

The Immigrant Visa case number provided is not ready to schedule an appointment. If you have not received an appointment letter from the National Visa Center (NVC), you can check the status of your IV case at http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/nvc.html.

If you have received an appointment letter from the NVC or an instruction letter from the Consular Section directing you to this website to schedule an appointment, please make sure to correctly enter your IV case number.

We tried emailing them, but it's taking a while for a response. We double and tripled checked everything, like the case number, DS-260 number, passport info, etc. It's all correct. We absolutely have an interview scheduled, the email has the date and time in that pdf.

Has anyone seen this issue? How did you resolve it? Is this something we can contact and get help over the phone with, because most things just say to email them and they'll get back to you in [a crazy long amount of time] 3-4 business days.

I'm getting a bit nervous, because she lives in Calgary, and we have already booked flights and hotels to Vancouver for the Dr. Cheema medical and to the interview itself in Montreal. Any info on this good people? Thanks.

I can't seem to edit the first post, sorry ...

ALso, I've noticed that the case status still says "AT NVC." Is that cause for alarm if we already have an interview scheduled in Montreal?

when is your interview?

You cannot register for loomis until the status on CEAC website updates to "ready". It will go from "at NVC" to "In Transit" to "Ready"

Ahh, that makes a lot more sense. The interview is on April 13th. Is it weird though, that an interview is already scheduled, but the status still says at NVC?

no its not. NVC schedules the interview for you, so your files are at NVC until the interview is scheduled. Once that is done NVC ships out the file.

For timeline purposes, my interview was scheduled on February 11th 2015 (for march 27 2015) and my files left NVC on February 20th.

Dont stress about the status showing at NVC right now. As long as it shows ready before your interview, you are fine.
