RIPPED i-751 receipt notice?!

hi!

we sent our packet last week in VSC and the check posted yesterday and today we received the i-751 receipt notice. is this the noa? and if yes, is it normal to receive it with a ripped/teared part on the upper right side of it? it's just weird coz we thought it got ripped when we opened the envelope but we're looking for the missing part of it and it wasn't there. wasn't around the area or inside the envelope.

so if this is the noa, and I needed to travel abroad before a decision comes regarding my roc, will the airport/immigration accept this letter?

That is your NOA, yes. It is your receipt that you need to carry with you as it is also your extension letter. How much of it is ripped off? I'm sure many people are traveling with letters that get damaged over the length of time they are needed.

hi MsHogan!

the ripped part is not huge but not small. maybe like 2 inch of the upper right corner is missing. so the header of the letter is incomplete coz of that. we cannot find the missing piece of paper which is so weird. I guess my question is if the ripped part is significantly visible will they accept it if I travel? should I call uscis or vsc? and can I request for another copy of noa?

I just took a look at ours and the receipt date is in the upper right hand corner. Is your receipt date there? If not I would try to get another copy.

That's what I was going to ask next. Can you SEE everything that needs to be there? Receipt number visible???
