Topic started. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/534511-february-2015-filers/. To answer your question....you should get it within the week. Based off your state you will go to TSC and they are back logged and there is about an 8 month wait!

The NOA1 typically comes within 1-2 weeks of your receipt date.

The further process though has varying timelines. You may check some recent timelines of cases at your service center. Since you have filed in Atlanta, your case falls under the Texas Service Center.

Wish you all the best.

We were/are (?) TSC filers, it took 5.5 months to get NOA2, then 2 weeks to get the case number, and about 3 days for case to get to Mumbai embassy. From that point things move quicker but we are currently waiting for the PCC for about a month now so still have not been able to schedule the interview.

Feel free to message me directly to ask any questions, I am the USC petitioner.

Folks, is it advisable to bring Fiancee [ beneficiary] on a tourist b1/b2 visa while we wait for K1 visa processing. Of Course, she'll go back when it's time for packet 3 and 4 to her home country to attend the interview and then come back to US and get married. (I'm not taking any shortcuts ). We'd like to spend time together while we wait for k1. She/beneficiary can travel and i can't. I'm stuck in US.

Pl. advise.

question to you all,

I sent in my paperwork for a K-1 visa and all it shows online is the Received case status. my question is.... is that the NOA1 or no? I have received some form in the mail and I do have a case number. I am going thru the CSC so I know it will be some what fast but I haven't seen any movement on it and want to make sure it is right.... oh ya they have cashed the check also.

Yes the NOA1 is a hardcopy notice of acceptance. Since your check has been cashed, you should be receiving the hardcopy in your mail anytime in the next ten days. Don't worry.

I have the hard copy of the NOA1 then. I received it on the 13th of Feb and the online shows they received it on the 5th of Feb. How should I up date my time line so it reflex's the correct date of NOA1? Should I put the date that they show as receiving it or the date I got the text message which was 10th of Feb?

Hi,

There is no issue with your fiance travelling to the US as long as she goes back in time for the interview and paperwork. But it would help if she already has a visitor visa issued before you filed the K1. In most cases, visitors visas filed while the K1 is in process are rejected because having a fiance in the US makes them have a risk of overstay.

There would be a date written on your NOA1 hardcopy. That would be your NOA1 date. The other date is the receipt date and that's the date your application was received by the USCIS.

That's the easy one. When our first petition was pending....my fiance and I filed for him a visitors visa and he got it within 3 weeks from beginning to end of applying.
