I had my medical yesterday and finished today. I just wanted to share some experiences to you guys but i wont make it detailed because VJ people already posted really detailed ones.

DAY1

• Arrived at 6am
• The guard asked for the required docs and stamped my hand.
• I was told to go to the reception area. From there, they also ask you the docs and photos.
• Then you go to the finger print, photo and registration.
• The lady told me to go to the 5th floor to pay then was told to go back to the 2nd flr for the immunisation interview.
• 2nd floor - they just asked you whether u are taking meds, past medical history, social history, hospitalisations, surgeries, vaccinations. I gave them my vaccination records and was told to make 2 copies of it for tomorrow.
• Then 3rd floor - X-ray. They took my X-ray twice because the lady wasn't able to get a good shot the first time. (I honestly thought, that's so stupid.. I feel bad because now I had 3 X-rays done for the past year. I had one last May 2014).

I was so afraid because I had history of primary complex when i was a kid. But happy that it didn't show the next day for i was for immunizations

• 4th floor - Blood extraction. And oh, they don't do the urinalysis anymore, i asked the lady if i would be doing it.
• Then 5th for again for the Physical Exam (where they do ask you to get naked and wear a gown). They check tattoos, birth marks, haemorrhoids, lumps on breasts, etc). I was asked some Past Medical History and medications taken etc etc..
• Then back to the 3rd floor (check out) where they gave me the receipt and told me to come back at 8am the next day.
• I was out by 10:30am.

DAY2

• Went at 1:30 pm. And directly went to the immunisation area. I waited until 5pm to get my vaccine. I actually am complete with all my vaccines due to my internship at school and I already had my chickenpox but still, I can't prove it (I have no scars!) so I had no choice but to get the Varicella Vaccine. I also had a choice if I wanted to do the vaccine here or over in the US. I said, here because it's already paid for. The only downside was - the long waiiitttttttt..............
• Was told to go to the releasing area
• Waited from 5pm to 8:30 pm just to get my results. I was given the Do not Open brown envelope and my do not open Xray CD

Day 2 was more stressful for me because of the long wait....

Notes/Reminders:

They do ask the first day of your menstruation and last day - a LOT.

It's pretty cold while waiting at the Physical Exam area. Bring a jacket.

Please do eat lots because you don't wanna be waiting from 1pm to 8:30 pm just to eat.

I did see that they stamp my passport at the back but they didn't do any cancellation or marks on my tourist visa.

I heard from other people about the air conditioning in there, and they all say the same, to bring a jacket. Waiting is one thing but if you are uncomfortably cold it takes on a whole new dimension, one you can easily avoid just by bringing the jacket.

Hello guys! I just want to ask if only the first page of appointment confirmation and first page of ds 160 that you have to print no need to include the instruction and map? I will have my medical tomorrow. Thanks

Another thing to consider and I haven't heard others mention it .. They asked my wife when was the last time she had sex. Because it was recent they told her that unless I went in and signed a paper saying I was unable to have kids she'd have to go back in 2 weeks for testing.

My wife is on Birth Control Pills and they asked her about sexual contact but she mentioned she was on the pill and was able to have immunizations on the 2nd day no problem even with recent contact.

She's not normally on BCP/OCP but she's an MD and an OB-Gyn in particular, so she knows the risks about becoming pregnant and having live virus vaccinations (e.g. MMR). So she'll be on the pill for 3 months after her medical (although we've found out that recent guidelines have reduced the exposure down to 1 month).

Vaccinations will go quicker then the exam portion. Keep in mind that they want to go home so about three o'clock that's what they are thinking.... how many more do I have to do before I go is their mantra. You should be in and out in less than 2 hours.
