I dont want to start a new thread if I can get an answer here....about a "similar" issue

I received notice today that stated, "The NvC recently completed our review of your visa case. While you meet the minimum qualifications for a visa interview to be scheduled your AOS contained one or more sections with missing or incorrect information...blah, blah, blah. Once you have completed the new AOS, please provide it to the principal applicant to bring to his or her interview...blah, blah, blah...

-**the mistake was -I put my address in the states instead of the principal applicant's address-- :(

My questions are these...

!. Does anyone else have a first-hand experience of having to submit an new AOS at the time of interview.

2. Will this delay the "approval" of our visa...assuming that our visa will be approved (eventually)...Ive heard of visas being approved within a few days of the interview...I'm wondering if they'll take the 864 and send it back to NVC...make us wait 60 days..and then tell us if the visa is apporved or not...

Thank you...

Answers:

  1. I gave my wife a new I-864 form to submit before her interview because key information on the one that was sent to the NVC changed between the time it was submitted there and the date of her interview. No issues.
  2. This in of itself will not cause a delay. Embassies and Consulates will not send an updated I-864 form back to the NVC for review. It is the CO that makes the decision on whether the I-864 is accepted or rejected, not the NVC.
