Hi All!

I'm new to this thread. I am the petitioner and my Fiance is from the UK. Our case has finally left TSC last Friday and I am anxious for the next steps! I'll be catching up on reading this forum :)

Hi All!

I'm new to this thread. I am the petitioner and my Fiance is from the UK. Our case has finally left TSC last Friday and I am anxious for the next steps! I'll be catching up on reading this forum :)

Congratulations on making it out of the TSC hell!!....these next steps will seem like a breeze compared to what you've just been through :)

We sent off our AOS packet yesterday (with EAD/AP included). Now we wait...

Good job. What did you do to get your certified marriage certificate back so quickly? Did they record it and process it same day?

Good job. What did you do to get your certified marriage certificate back so quickly? Did they record it and process it same day?

Absolutely nothing! The judge informed us it would be available 24 hours after the ceremony. Since we got married on Thursday evening, we decided to collect it on Monday. Could have done Friday, but we didn't want to make two trips to the courthouse in case it hadn't been recorded yet.

Awesome news Chris! Great to hear that the official stuff is going through in a very timely fashion, though really sorry to here about Kas' eventful trip over. You are together now, so hopefully the memory of that trip will soon fade and you can enjoy your future together :thumbs:

My EAD/AP card has arrived!

I also got a letter about the incomplete vaccinations :ranting: but they said not to do anything until further notice

Immigration Timeline

 

June 2013: Met whilst working at a summer camp in Michigan

November 1st 2014: I-129f submitted for K1 visa

February 24th 2015: Visa in hand!

February 26th 2015: POE at Las Vegas airport, then onwards to Oregon! 

March 6th 2015: Marriage (with a "real" wedding to follow next year on 7/6/2016)

March 9th 2015: AOS, EAD & AP submitted

September 22nd 2015: Interview

January 14th 2016: Two year Green card received -phew!

ROC

August 8th 2017: 90 day window begins! ROC time!

September 28th 2017: Biometric Appointment in Portland, OR

March 5th 2018: Case received by local office

August 18th 2018: 18 month extension letter mailed

December 2018: Case moved to another office

February 2019: I was emailed that I was approved and my card was in production the same day of my N400 interview 😂

August 8th 2018: Window opens to submit naturalization application

August 13th 2018: N400 Application submitted online 

August 14th 2018: NOA1

September 6th 2018: Biometrics

February 6th 2019: Interview Date! APPROVED!

February 6th 2019: I was asked to return later the same day for my Oath Ceremony! :dance:

Little over 2 weeks till my interview now. Feel nervous about it, though i don't really have anything to be nervous about. Keep running through my head ''What if im denied?''. I have no reason to be denied, but still have it floating around my head.

I have all the required documents, passport, passport photos, birth certificate, I-134 signed and completed, with a W-2 wage and tax statement attached.

Is the W-2 statement enough, in terms of proof of income?

For the interview, yes. We had so much proof of income at the interview and Kas only needed one bit.

You won't get denied. Be positive!

Don't forget interview letter, police certificate, ds-160 confirmation, MRV payment receipt, et al.

Maybe. That normally is the sidekick to a tax return, so in your future immigration things, like AOS, don't submit the supporting actor (W2) without the lead actor ( all pages of the tax return.)
