I've completed the packaged and it's ready to be sent off to Texas but i have two questions. First one is about which service center gets the packages- is it a random draw, do they go by state, or country of origins? Second question is still eight to ten months away, but if the interview goes good and she gets the go ahead to the states, how long will she have to wait until she gets the visa? The county is Laos by the way and the reason why I'm asking this is i want to take a week or two off work to be with her through the interview, and fly home with her to the states since this will be her first flight ever.

Florida is processed by the Texas Service Center (TSC). Some embassies hand out the visa in a few days, others take longer. Check in your regional forum or ask the moderators to move this thread to your regional forum so people from your country familiar with the process can answer.

Any idea why I was given the Texas Service Center if I'm from MA then? I'm seeing how fast the Vermont Center is and wishing our application was sent there! I thought all of the applications had to go through Texas so that's where I sent it initially. Maybe I should have sent it to VT directly?

All petitions go to the Texas Lockbox, that is not the same as the TSC. The lockbox then routes the petitions to the processing centres. East coast is TSC and West coast is CSC.

Vermont stopped processing i-129f visas a while ago. Good luck on your journey!
