There is an error in the Affidavit of Support filled for a Parent. Instead of total income the numbers used are the ones from the W2. The numbers are very close as the income is 99+% from W2 but there is a small amount of interest that makes the difference. Income is sufficient and the few $ from interest income are not needed to meed requirements. I called NVC and asked them should I proactively submit new form with exact matching numbers and they said NO. They told me that in the past they would issue checklist for any small inaccuracy but not anymore.

Do you think that they just wanted to get me of the phone? Do you think I should ignore them and send new form (and restart the 60 day clock) anyway?

Thanks

If NVC representative said so then it's definitely a new information. In past they checklisted even for a tiny inaccuracy. Call again and talk to a different representative (or maybe two) to make sure they indeed changed their way of reviewing the documents.

If that is true then it's a great news for all of us.

I called NVC twice and got 2 different answers. One was wait for the review of AOS and see if you get a checklist. It was mentioned again that there is a new policy to not checklist the very small errors. Second one told me to just go and submit a corrected version and not risk additional delays (also confirmed new policy but was not very optimistic). I was surprised to learn that they take and keep notes of the phone calls. She knew that I had called multiple times and questions that were asked.

Yea they give contradictory information always. Send corrected forms to avoid any further delays.
