For all those whom have already received their K1 Visa. I would like to travel back to the Philippines when my fiance receive her K1 visa so that I can accompany her to the U.S. but, I would like to get an idea of an estimated time frame of how long it will take for her to receive her visa from the time she submits her DS 160 Nonimmigrant Visa application to the U.S. Embassy-Manila. I don't need to know the exact time-frame for I know there is now specific time frame, an estimated time frame is fine. I would like to know this so that I can start planning ahead by submitting a request for time-off from my employer so that I can travel to the Philippines to accompany my fiance to the U.S..

Thanks in advance

There is no correlation between submitting the DS-160 and when the visa will arrive (aside from the DS-160 being required for the interview).

Visa issued is more closely connected to the actual interview, when is that scheduled BTW?

Interview has not been scheduled yet. I just sent the petition to USCIS a few days ago. NOA1 not received yet

But the process will still depend on the Service Center assigned to you and the officer that will work on ur petition..

For now, just chillax and try not to think about it... wait until u get ur NOA1..

One of the uncertain time frames, the time between now and the interview date, will be known with reasonable certainty once she gets her interview appointment. So that is the time you want to fly there, or maybe a week in advance if you want to accompany her to St. Lukes. (You can't get into the St. Luke's building but you can keep her company right up to the moment she walks in.)

When do you want to return to the USA? For that you can only guess. Most visas are issued 2 to 3 weeks after the interview. WIll she have hers by then? Ask Nostradamus because the rest of us sure don't know. Some beneficiaries have had theirs 3 days post interview, some have waited 3 months, and if there are problems such as misssing documents or serious sickness, it could take even longer.

So if you fly there intending to fly back on a date certain with her, make sure both of your tickets are refundable or at least date changeable. You may very well have to do that, and nobody can predict the end result.

:wow: You sure are ahead of your time. You won't even get your NOA for at least 3 to 4 months. Just sit still and wait till you get your NOA 1 and 2 and schedule your interview. Then it will be time to shift into second gear. This is a journey and requires a lot of patience. Ask anyone here on VJ if this is true.

From USEM: Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of properties, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you.

I'm just asking a question so I can be prepared to expect the unexpected. I don't see anything wrong with just asking a question. Thought I'd get a direct answer instead I get a response about not having a horse in a barn and being told to chillax and being ahead of the game. The petition is not for a horse, I am relaxed and I am not here to play a game. But thanks for your respsonse anyway
