Visa status change to "Issued" - called embassy for remaining timeline info.

I have seen several threads and questions about what happens after the Issued status shows up and when the visa will be delivered. My fiancee's status changed from AP to Issued on January 23. This new thread is merely information on her embassy communication following Issued status update and what information an embassy phone call might yield. Out of curiosity, my fiancee called the embassy this morning, January 26, to ask what to expect after the Issued status update. The embassy rep. told her that following the status update to "Issued", it takes 2-3 days for additional and final processing. The rep. also said that after those 2-3 days, the courier, 2Go, will pick up the visa from the embassy. Finally, the rep. said that if fiancee has not received visa within 10 days from status changed to Issued, January 23 in our case, the embassy told her to call embassy again for an update where the visa is. The indication was that after the Issued status change, she can expect the visa in her hand within 10 days.

PS. This information might not apply to everyone and all cases, but it was what my fiancee was told after talking to an embassy rep. in person this morning.

Thanks for sharing. It's similar to what many of us have been saying in helping others.

Congratulations and safe travels. Welcome to These United States.

Mine was already issued for almost 2 weeks but no movement, we tried to call embassy but they just hang up..?

Really? My fiancee called. She was able to speak with a rep. after a couple of minutes who provided her answers to all the questions, as I detailed in this thread. You should be able to get answers from a rep. where the visa is, based on the information the rep. told my fiancee just today.

I don't know whats going on with my visa now

Have you contacted courier 2Go? Why is embassy only hanging up? When you track passport status online, what status message appears?

Yes they don't have it yet and they said they will contact 2go but I don't think they will really contact, someone will pick up then il after few seconds hang up then when calling again it's busy.

I checked everyday but says no status update available

Very strange. I wonder why the embassy would do like that. It seems to be in their interest to get you the visa so they no longer have to deal with your case anymore. Is there anything else going on with your file that might hold it up? Have you tracked it with 2Go?

There's no problem anymore with my file, if they have a problem with it maybe they contact me or put my status in AP but it's still ISSUED and last update jan 22. I am getting confused and lose patience

So your status update from AP to Issued happened on January 22?

No, my status never put in AP, it's ISSUED since my interview date

Oh! I understand most cases go to AP before Issued. I have read that again and again to be the case. Maybe ur case was on AP only a few hours before Issued. Our case was on AP 8 days. Or, maybe your case in fact was in AP for several days but someone accidentally put it on Issues as the status update online. If thats the case, your timeline is still within what the embassy rep. told my fiancee this morning. Im just guessing, but its a possibility. From what I read, the no status update means the visa has left the embassy and is with courier. Have you tried tracking 2Go using the UID?

No I only tried case number and passport but invalid, u know where can find the UID number? They said its on the interview letter but I don't have it on my letter

The UID is on the embassy confirmation email, under the barcode, NOT in the letter, but in a separate email confirmation you should have received when you scheduled the interview online. You can also call 2Go or go to an office and ask them.
