Hi everyone!

My mom's petition has been approved last week.

We didn't receive the actual NOA2 yet.

What would be the next step?

Should I call NVC after a week or two?

It has been a while so I feel like a novice in this process again.

I also want to ask about the I-864 form. My husband and I file joint tax return.

My income is enough to sponsor my mom so I won't use my husband as co-sponsor but I just started that job more than a year ago.

Would that be a problem? They could see it in 2014 tax return and W2 but I know you have to submit 3 years income tax return.

Thank you so much.

You should be getting the NOA2 sometime next week. Then it takes them a week or two to send it to NVC. Once NVC got it they will tell you wait 30-40 days for them to respond so its kinda frustrating. For now just gather all your documents for the AOS and I-864, so by the time you hear from them you got all the paper work in hand and submit. My mom's petition got approved dec and i called NVC yesterday and they just got the case jan 13 so its a waiting game thing.

Thanks. Our NOA2 has been a breeze so I am hoping the same for NVC.

I remember getting our case completed in 3 weeks but then again that was few years ago.
