Good morning !!!

I want to know , how I can get a green card extending sticker. I am Colombian and I am waiting for my permanent green card. Three months ago I received a letter extension of resident, but some countries do not accept this kind the letter. I want to go to Costa RIca, but the inmigration there said that they only accept the extending sticker in the green card, so I made a Appointment with USCIS in my area, but they said that they did not have stickers, so they put a stamp to my pasaport ( i551 ), but Costa Rica immigration said that it is not accept. I do not know what I can do . The visa to Costa Rica take long time and They ask for many documents ( for example Police record issued Within the last six months authenticated by the Secretary of State, it is more difficult that schengen or Japan visa ) it is the reason why the consul recommend me fix the problem with US inmigration . Can someone help me, please?
