Hi

My fiancé and I will be going to his interview in London sometime soon (hopefully! his medical results were sent in last tuesday)

My father is our financial sponsor as he we be financially supporting us while we get on our feet in the US. My dad has filled out the affidavit, given me copies of bank statements, tax returns, stocks etc etc

Just a couple questions....

1) My dad is a US citizen but was originally born in Slovakia, do I need a copy of his US passport for the interview?

2) Do I need to fill in any forms like the affidavit since I have a job here? and if I do what other documents do i need to bring with me?

3) Does my fiancé needs to bring any documents of his income or fill in any forms?

Any advice would be very very helpful!

Thanks!

A London answer based on what has happened at London interviews over the last seven years. It is no guarantee yours will be exactly the same, but a pretty good chance.

I-134 sponsor- no they don't ask proof of citizenship or residence.

(I-864 joint sponsor for spouse visas- Yes required by INS law)

Anything from the USC fiancé if he/she doesn't make enough- No, not even I-134

Anything from the British fiancé- No, unless he was self-sponsoring with his assets.

And you will find that London doesn't require many versions of proof for the Dad, if one proof shows adequate income. They are not difficult to convince as long as somebody shows the have income.
