Ok, so my K1 is underway, cheque is cashed, now waiting for NOA1.

BUt what I dont understand is, the USCIS California say that they are now processing K1s sent in in July 06 on their official list.

So how come there are lots and lots of applications past NOA2 that were filed after July 06 through the California Service Center?

I know this is not vital as long as mine is moving but am I getting the wrong end of the stick somewhere?

Thanks,

ROb.

The dates on the USCIS are the outside bounds of what they are currently processing. In otherwords, based on the date VJ compiles from users, you can see the process goes faster - but some take longer. USCIS usually won't answer too many questions unless your app takes longer than those dates to process. So don't fret.

I don't know about the usic computer's but I work for the DOD and the computer will kick out the oldest work order in the system. So in short if your case is a simple one it sould go with no problems. Were as a case with problems is going to list as the latest job being prosseced. It could be wating on more info or other problems. So the computer is going to say that that is the current work being done. It won't list every one. Hope that makes sense.

USCIS always shows the OLDEST petition still unfinished to cover their azzes. Those petitions could be held up due to RFEs or security checks and don't represent normal processing times. You can get a better idea of current processing times based on people here on VJ filing through CSC. It appears to be November as Fwaguy said so you might count on about 3 months for processing.
