How to deal with unknown annual salary?

Already got a sponsor, but filing for my wife asks her annual salary. She got her first job last year (September), and has irregular hours, so there is no say of how much she will be making coming tax year (she never filed a tax return before).

Right now I have the annual income, and total income as UNKNOWN. Would that be Ok? Specially considering they will most likely be looking at the sponsor's ability, and not my wife.

Can you look back at her pay stubs? Even if her hours are irregular, you could average her totals for the months that she's been working and give an estimate. UNKNOWN seems too vague, I think I would do an estimate based on the salary that she's made thus far.

It might not matter if she's not the sponsor, but an estimate would make more sense than unknown, in my humble opinion.

Does the year counts for a whole year, or does it counts from September to the next tax month this year?

September she made very little, as it was training. End of November and December she made more, as it was the holidays.

Every month was a complete different figure, and I don't know how things will be from here.
