NVC

The NVC says that our file/case has not yet reached them. The NOA2 is dated 29th December 2005. I am getting frantic now... I would like to phone the CSC to find out if they have sent our case to the NVC... does anyone have a number I could call... and is it advisable? Am just so fed up... frustrated with the whole process too.

have you tried checking with the embassy in New Delhi in case they have it already and NVC just havent noted their files?

I know someone did this for a London embassy one and they had it already...

PS: (from NV website) An automated recorded message system can answer many of these inquiries 24 hours a day, seven days a week (603 334-0700). Operators are available to respond to more difficult inquiries from 7:30 AM to 12:30 AM (EST) Monday through Friday. Status of case information and access to an operator can only be provided by entering your NVC case number or CIS receipt number on a touch-tone telephone. Case inquiries can also be made via email at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. NVC only has information on petitions it has received.

I tried to phone the Embassy today - no one answers the bleeding phone... I tried for a couple of hours to get through.

Hi Paul,

This might sound like a stupid question but are you speaking with an actual person at NVC? Because if you are using their automated system, K-1 petition never come out through there. K-1 petition are at NVC for a short period of time unless you are under a security review. I hope this helps out if not call and e-mail both places until someone tells you something.

Melo, Email the embassy and hopefully you will hear back from them and ask them if your case is there yet? Or to give you a status update. I had better luck with emails than calls to Islamabad. Good luck and hang in there.

Hi Melo,

Have you e-mail them? E-mail all three or at least USCIS and NVC and stay after them, then call them. They will probably give you a can response but stay on top of them and like that you have documentation in case it takes longer that they say and you get your Congressman, Senator or a review.
