Straight Forward I-751 (out of loop for awhile)

Hello all,

This is my first time back to visa journey since my wife received her green card after we got married (K1) process. Her 2 year green card expires in April and I would like to start looking into the I-751 process since the 90 day period is approaching.

I just read the guide for the 751 and seems delightfully easy and straight forward. (Once again I am incredibly thrilled to have had visa journey at my side throughout the entire process).

After going through the whole K1 process I guess I just can't believe that this step is so easy. Just wanted to make sure that I am not forgetting or overlooking anything. We have been married, have not moved, have no children.....

Is it really this simple/

To maintain the "easy" part you have hopefully maintained a nice pile of evidence over the past couple of year so you have them ready to submit. I kept some but not a ton were printed and standing by so as my 90 window approached I started printing off copies of everything and filing them in a nice orderly manner for submission. There are a couple guidelines posted up top as sticky threads. Get your evidence ready and make sure the I-751 form you use is the one they are accepting at the time. I don't remember the date it is said to expire but be sure you are using the one they want at the time of your submission. Also be sure that the fees haven't changed by the time you're sending yours in.

You'll want to assemble photos and documentation of a bonafide marriage/relationship just like you did for the initial process.

I just submitted mine last week so we'll see soon enough if I did a good job!
