We have applied for a K1 visa for my Russian fiance. NOA1 July 10, 2014. NOA2 still pending. Her Russian father and brother have both threatened to write letters to the US embassy in Moscow in an attempt to derail our K1 visa. The letters will most likely contain lies about how I am crazy and am bringing her into a mind control cult. Will the US embassy take these letters seriously? Will the embassy provide us with copies of these letters so that we can answer the lies? What would be convincing to the embassy? Letters from other people refuting the lies? Thank you in advance

The embassy is unlikely to take these letters seriously, unless they have grounds to (say, you were previously convicted of domestic abuse).
