Last Saturday, I received from the mail, my son's and my biometrics appointment schedule letters . I received mine in one sheet (which includes aos,ead and ap appointments) while my son has separate appointment sheet with his I-485 and another with his I-765, though same date and time as mine.

My question is why doesn't he have biometrics appointment for I-131( Application for Travel Document) ? Don't K2's have appointment for ATP or we just don't receive it?

Hope some will enlighten me with this. We are planning to go walk in this Thursday although our schedule is next week coz uscis is just near to our place.

Thanks in advance...

Is your son young enough that he does not need fingerprints? I think the cut off is 14...

My step daughter only had 2 MSC #s on her appointment letter as well. She is only 2 and did not have to be fingerprinted, only photographed... I did not match up the numbers to which forms they went with. We received her combo card for EAD and AP and were able to get her a SS card with the combo card.

If your son is under 14, I do not think you have anything to worry about. AP requires you send passport type photos with the application and the fingerprints are taken at the USCIS office. If you do not require fingerprints, I do not believe that there is biometrics that are done for AP. EAD requires that the photo is taken by USCIS office... I think this is the difference. I could be wrong in my reasoning, but we had the same experience and had no problems receiving the combo cards... Do not stress over it...

Thanks, I apreciate your reply :) . My son is just 6 years old. And you're correct, no need for AP biometrics. Our original appointment was next week, Dec. 18, 2014 but we tried our luck yesterday at USCIS San Marcos, Ca and did walk in and allowed us to have our biometrics done :D It was fast, less than 30 mins for the 2 of us upon entering and leaving the site :)
