Hi guys,

My I485 case got updated to " Case is ready to be scheduled for an Interview" couple days ago.

Just curious, how long does it normally take for the notice to arrive in the mail?

Also, will all the documents required for the interview be stated on the notice? If not, what documents are needed for the interview?

Thank you for the help,

Thank you for the help,

how long your notice takes depends on your service center. for example if you live in los angeles where there is a giant backlog, you could wait like 4 months for the notice to come.

and yes, all the documents required for the interview will be stated on the notice.

My case have been on that status since Aug 20 and I havent heard of the interview date yet or gotten notice unfortunately. My office is Saint Paul and apparently they are still processing May applications. I filed my green card in July.

My status today got updated to "Interview Is Scheduled" for next month. It looks like they just mailed me the noticed today too. So im thinking once the status gets to "Interview is Scheduled" they mail the notice.

@lizb Wow..thats a long time. I hope your status gets updated soon.

RFE (Request for Further Evidence) is a letter that USCIS sends you stating the additional documents that they want to further the case. In my case they wanted my Original Birth certificate. Not every one who files the green card, gets it.

I filed from F-1 to Green Card. Im still in F-1.
