Greetings all,

On November 1st, I sent my I-130 petition for my husband. On Nov 3rd was received by AZ lockbox and transferred to Nebraska SC. Last week I requested an expedite through my congressman and blow is what I got today from my congressman rep. Can you please share your experiences? What do they mean by unable to predict WHEN your constituent will receive a decision? Would they let me know if they approve or not? I know I have not missed any single document and I'm not expecting RFE :). How long is the usual time for USCIS to to approve the expedite? Thank you all for the help.

This e-mail message is in reply to your inquiry regarding the Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, XXXXXX, filed on behalf of XXXXX, with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on November 3, 2014.

We have forwarded your constituent’s expedited processing request to a supervisor for consideration. Even if this petition is accepted for expedited processing, your constituent should take into consideration that additional time may be needed for routine background checks and the possibility of a request for additional evidence. For those reasons we are unable to predict when your constituent will receive a decision.

We hope this information is helpful to you. If we may be of further assistance, please let us know.

Thank you,

~~moved to USCIS service centers as topic is about congress inquiries into the USCIS, the OP's profile says K1 but is inquiring for a husband and is not about the IR1 process in particular~~

why are you seeking expedited processing ?

it's barely been a month since you sent in your package

For humaniterian and economical reasons. I know each one of us cases are different and according to the uscis guideline for expediet, we meet the requirements and I gave all the supporting document for expediet. I think I have valid reasons. I just want to know what that ment. It is probably the common respond to everybody requsting expedite.
