Our baby boy just got his CRBA and passport application approved in Manila Embassy. How long will it take now until we receive his US passport and CRBA? Anyone with recent experience?

I received it 1 week after the approval

Really? That sounds almost impossible considering that all the passports are printed in the USA, and getting one locally in the USA is at least two weeks. Did you have some kind of rush order?

I believe Passports for those applying at embassies/consular posts abroad have priority. My passport renewal a few years back was faster than when I renewed by mail back in the States by at least a week.

Thanks for all the responses. Looks like the range is from 1 to almost 5 weeks. I did read somewhere that the passport is actually faster than CRBA, so the Consulate actually ends up holding the passport for a while until the CRBA shows up. Guess they don't want to pay for two separate shipments.

So, those who received them, did 2GO just show up at your doorstep with an envelope or did they contact you by phone or email to make sure that you were available for delivery?

We received a call when they are out for delivery to inform us about the delivery and to make sure we are home that day.

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Philippines
Timeline

I did mine last Jan 2014 and it took about 4 weeks to get it to Cebu. The flow after the interview they send it to the US for processing. The passport from the US is shipped to Manila where it then goes through a QA check before it is sent out. If you're in Manila it could be 3 weeks. Getting ours in Cebu took a few extra days but it was still very prompt.
