New here and would appreciate some visa advice!

Hello everyone! I'm new here and would like to get some advice and information from you guys. My husband and I received a welcome email from NVC, which we didn't expect because we didn't know anything about them! We just knew about USCIS. Anyway, an email was sent last October, but we just saw it today because the mail was sent as a junk email :/. I have finally chosen an agent, which is also my husband. We are going to try and pay the extra fees now. Hopefully my husband can pay without a problem since he is deployed right now and I'm not sure of he has all his bank info with him, since we just usually use a debit card when paying for stuff, but it seems like we can't do this. They have also made a lot of mistakes with my birth date and address, is this normal? We're sure that we put all the right information and stuff before sending all the i-130 etc.

I would like to ask you guys about the police certificate as well. I lived in a different country until before turning 14 (birth place and citizenship), after that, I have been living in a different country and haven't been back to my birth country. Do I still need to get a police certificate from where I was born? Or is a police certificate from where I am currently residing would be fine? Since I have been living here since the age of 14? I hope you guys can help! Thanks in advance!
