I dont blame u! The day you have it in your hand, is when you should beleive it, I have lost all hopes until i actually see it. But I feel your case is near the end.

I know i'm not a part of this group, and I hope i'm not intruding but I follow this thread, and our case also updated tonight (16 jun PM) but it was dated 14 JUN.

( I check ceac multiple times a day...so it really didn't update 2 days ago..) What do you think they are working on AP cases??

This question is for anyone who has requested their passport back from embassy, once it was collected from Amex, does the ceac website update that day? My husband has collected his passport today from Amex, (travel purposes) and today I checked and ceac is updated. Now I am confused if its related to passport pick up or automatic update?

anyone have idea?

Hi, could you all please give me experiences with receiving permanent resident cards and social security cards? How long does it take after coming to the U.S. to receive your social security card and permanent resident card? My husband came to USA on June 7 but I paid his fees of $165 for permanent resident card on June 4.

If you asked for his social security card to come automatically it will take about 2 to 3 weeks after POE. The green card should take 30 days to arrive. If you don't have it after 30 days call USCIS.

The CO will look over your affidavit of support and other documents. They usually put your case in AP ( administrative prosessing) while they do this. It could take several weeks for them to issue your visa if all your documents are correct or it could take months for them to review your case. Just pray and wait it is all you can do now. Keep checking the ceac website for any updates.
