I suggest you to email the embassy right away, maybe they might have requested some kind of document. And similar thing happened with me. When I called NVC to check the status on my wife AP. NVC representative asked me after asking me the case number and names etc.. NVC representative asked me that how was ur wife interview. I replied well VO said that interview was good nothing to worry about. We have to put case in admin processing to get clearance from washington DC. It made me think that why NVC representative would ask him that how was the interview since there was nothing wrong and no additional documents were required. Then I asked NVC representative that is everything ok? Any problem. . I tried so hard thay I can get any answer from the representative. But representative said your case is still in Ap. And no additional documents required. You just wait AP to be over and you will be contacted by embassy.

That is strange why would they ask how was her interview and then not tell you why they are asking. Did you email the embassy?? Did they request anything?

I will have to email them just to make sure like you said....

Yea I did email the embassy after that. I got worried that why NVC representative would ask me about how did my wife interview go. But when I asked if anything wrong. She said nothing, your case is still in administrative processing.

And I did get an email from islamabad embassy that your case is in still administrative processing and nothing additional required

Hi everyone last case update was on the 8th of Jan. I called NVC on Jan 8 after sending proof of relationship (Dec 23rd) and I was told by a Male operator who was professional and nice, he told me he sees a update in my case and some notes... I asked may I know what it says and he said it said they had received our documents and they were forwarded to visa officer for review. I should be really happy to hear something being done to our case after a whole year however I am too scared because even last January I think this same operator told me that our case was near a conclusion and here I am waited a whole new year. :clock: May Allah help us all brothers and sisters waiting in AP please keep us in your duas. 27 months in AP and still counting...

Best of luck!

Now I know for sure NVC can see everything and act like they cant. the least this immigration system can do is tell us the progress with our cases to ease the tension.

Hey all,

I've been a silent reader here. In AP for almost 2 yrs now. I'm the petitioner and my US passport had expired so i renewed it. I've emailed the embassy twice to see if they want me to re-send my passport pages since the passport # has also changed. They still have not replied to me. Anyone else experienced what to do in such a case? Should i just keep emailing them to eventually get a response?

I dont understand, if your the petitioner, why do you have to send your passport to the embassy? Have you tried calling the national visa center and telling them your situation?

I don't see why the embassy would need your passport number or pages unless you want to show that you made a recent visit to Pakistan as proof of ongoing relationship.

I had to send my passport pages when my fiancé applied so I would expect with my new passport they would want my passport pages again. I called NVC and they had no clue and said to ask the embassy.

Your case has been denied under section 221g of immigration and nationality act.

statute says, in part: "No visa or other documentation shall be issued to an alien if (1) it appears to the consular officer, from statements in the application, or in the papers submitted therewith, that such alien is ineligible to receive a visa or such other documentation under section 212, or any other provision of law, (2) the application fails to comply with the provisions of this Act, or the regulations issued thereunder, or (3) the consular officer knows or has reason to believe that such alien is ineligible to receive a visa or such other documentation under section 212, or any other provision of law

What does it mean guys? Anybody got clue?

this is what my wife got at the interview :(
