My wife has been in AP for 2 and half months. VO told her that everything is fine and kept the passport and said you will receive ur passport in 3 months.

Did VO keep your husband passport and gave him any timeline ?

The VO did keep my husband's passport, but he did not give any time frame, because my husband was asked to submit additional documents, He sent those right away, I also have an idea why my husband is on AP, he also lived abroad for many years before coming back to Pakistan, i think he is having additional security checks because of that. I dont know how it works just guessing.

Case status shows Administrative Processing but CSP at NVC told me that your case is having ADDITIONAL REVIEW.

What is additional review if anyone can explain?

Whenever I call NVC, they always say administrative review, never administrative processing lately. I know its just a choice of words, but ever since they said review, i see updates in my case. So maybe the word review means something and in a good way too.

We can not make out or predict what’s the reason for AP…Just say there is no reason for AP & seems like it’s a mandatory requirement for them to put Pakistanis under state of frustration but we don’t care…..LOL,,,,,

I have spent several years abroad and it is our first marriage and we have been living together most of the time after our marriage & recently my wife left for US after spending 10 months here in Pakistan but still I am in AP for 15 months & Embassy knows everything even they are not true with our senator

A case can be perfect in every way and still take this much time, living abroad, first/second marriages, age difference, etc.... doesnt matter, we will have to go through this death sentence called AP, thats how it feels, a person going day in and day out like some robot with no emotions.

what did they tell your senator?
