Hi guys! My husband submitted our papers yesterday and I he wrote a wrong consignee.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security instead of USCIS Attn: I-130.

It was a bad start up. What we can do about it? Should we start again or is there a chance that it will be forwarded to USCIS? Thank you guys. I hope I get a reply from you.

Was it just the name that was written incorrectly or was it both the name and the address?

If the address was also wrong, the package may be returned to you as addressee unknown. Otherwise it might be thrown out.

I would not rely on DHS to forward anything onto USCIS. Give it a week or more to be returned.

If it was just the name and the address was correct then most likely it will be opened and processed as normal.

The address is correct Sir, only the name of supposed to be the responsible for the papers is wrong. There is a slim chance of having our papers to be opened unless they will forward it to USCIS. It has a cover letter of which the letter is intented. I hope they will return it to my husband instead of throwing.
