Good morning!

I have to be at work at 9.30- home by 11 to take the dog to the grommer- bacj at home between noon and 2 so the AT&T guy can start installing my new everything- They warned me it could last up or more hours. I hate having workmen in the house. I always feel like I have to be working too.

Good morning girls! No too much going on here today. I'm 'thinking" about going to the doctor to see if I might be having a gallbladder attack. I have the classic symptoms, but I don't want to have to take time off work to go. Yeah, nurses are stubborn eh? ;) Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everybody! Hope you all have a great Tuesday.

Mr. Betta fish is doing sooooooo much better. He's upright and starting to move around the tank. I put a piece of greenery in there and he's hiding in it. I even caught him hiding behind a rock so I think he is better. Thanks for all the well wishes.

I need help researching. Mohammed has a coworker that is here as a perm resident (10 yr). He married a lady here, she is on a B1 visa. It expires next month. I am trying to help them with their options. Of course they don't want her to go back, but I can't find any way for her to stay. I don't think the 539 form to extend her visa will be good, because you have to still be a nonimmigrant. Do any of you know of someone that did AOS from nonimmigrant to immigrant? All I can come up with is her to return and him file I130. They can't do K3 to make it faster cuz only a citizen can use K3. Helppppppppppppp.

Maybe i am not reading carefully, but if she immigrated on a B1, and then marrys here, why can't she stay for AOS? Don;t LPR have the same right to adjust status for the wife as a USC? Are they not ready to be married right away?

That's a tough one Jackie. I hope you find an answer that doesn't involve her going home. Why didn't they file before the expiration date came so close?

Here at work today. My new officemate is a workhorse! I hear her typing and I look over and she's actually typing things for work.:blink: Wish I knew about the other job so I could slack off here without feeling guilty!!!!

Got the marriage certificate but stupid me doesn't have a passport photo id of myself. I thought I had it in my little baggie of goodies but apparently not and I don't have the ziploc bags with me either 'cause I"m an airhead in the morning so at lunch I'm gonna go get the ziploc bags, go to Fedex to get the photo taken and then assemble it all and shove it off to Vermont. Can't wait till it's in the mail!!!:dance:

Decided to take the kids skiing instead of to NYC so now it's just which place to go, NH, Vt or Maine. Did I mention a while back that I hate decisions?

12/28/06 - got married :)

04/26/07 - Packet 3 received

If they file the I30,,,her B1 will expire while they wait and she will be out of status for a year. I don't know what to tell them and they think I'm an expert at this. I guess I will call the information line. I'm sooooooooooo confused. If they file the I130 can she stay while waiting? I've been searching all night for answers.

She won't be out of satus exactly. I know the B1 will ezpire, but her status is techinically "staus pending" . It's similar to a K-1 whose visa expires in 90 days, but the green card has not arrived. The status is "status pending AOS".
