Hi Vj member my neighbor ask me if i could ask you guys what if the petition been approved how long it is before it get epired... because she petition her sister and its been approved for 6 months ago do they need to re file or just ask to open the case? thank In advance

If her sister is outside the US the I 130 may be

approved but that's 5th preference I think, this

process takes a while , nothing has expired.

Where does her sister live?

she live in philippines and its been approved and transfer to NVC but its been 6 month or so the petitioner never really bothered to call if theres a case number.. i guess my question is if you get approved on I 130 is theres time frame or do they get expired if you don't work on it or fallow up thru NVC

it was file 5 years ago and its been approved.. just she never bother to check on it.. n now they decided to see if its still open or its expired and they have to re file

but its been approved already i just needed to know after their forwarded it to NVC and no one really check on it or do the medical n stuff do they get expired?

They can keep an eye on the visa bulletin. Medical comes at the end.
