I read on here that in the past, Non-US citizen SSN applicants had to wait 2-3 weeks (some even 6 weeks) after receiving the EAD card for their names to appear on the list that SSA checks before approving an application. Is this still the case? I just got my combo card today and wanted to know so that I don't waste my time driving all the way to New Bern.
