Does any Filippina K-1 applicant here have any experience with getting the Syria police clearance for a time period prior to the civil unrest started in 2011? In other words, can the Syrian consulate in Manila even get a police clearance for Filippinas who worked in Syria 200-2011 considering the civil unrest in Syria now?

Contacting the U.S. embassy in Syria will be of little help.

From my guide (linked below)

***Police Certificate (other countries)***

Here is a link to info regarding Police Certificates, some countries will not issue them except in person so the police certificate is waived for those countries by the embassy.

I I just learned that the US no longer has diplomatic relations with Syria. Getting this police clearance proves pretty tricky. I wish the NVC had some understanding that the situation in Syria makes such police clearance difficult to get and allowed some flexibility in this.
