Pre-interview procedures for K1 in China (split topic)

Need some help, I called this morning the NVC and got case # GUZxxxxxxxx and my IIN # xxxxxxxx. My case is K1 visa. I am reading here that I should confirmed with the operator(NVC) that my AOS (Affidavit of Support) invoice would be emailed to me. I will send the actual OPTIN email to have the case converted from paper to electronic after I receive this invoice in my inbox. Also ,do I need to fill it out form DS-3032? or this is for IR-1/CR-1 visa? I am confuse between K1 visa and IR-1/CR-1? process, I read here for K1 visa for China there is not EP correct? also read if it is not EP would take few months to get the P3,IV pocket and of course the k1 visa and so on? I think I am reading to much info here and now I confuse, any help would be appreciated, how the process work for china K1 Visa. Thank you.

9/26/2014: Delivery confirmation USPS (11:02 a.m.).
9/26/2014: NOA1 (Recieved Date).
10/1/2014: Check cashed.
10/1/2014: NOA1 recieved text (15:34).
10/3/2014: Alien Registration Number changed, received text (6:45 a.m.).
10/6/2014: Hard copy recieved on the mail. (NOA1).
10/28/2014: NOA2 Approved (Received text and email @ 7:30 p.m).
10/28/2014: Case send to the NVC.
10/31/2014: NOA2 Received hardcopy on the mail.

11/12/2014: Got case # and IIN #.

11/13/2014. Case send to GUZ.

11/13/2014: Case Ready at CEAC.

11/20/2014. DS-160 completed.

11/21/2014 Pay visa fee.

11/22/2014 P3 send via regular mail

11/24/2014 Case AP at CEAC.

12/10/2014 P3 Received

12/10/2014 Case AP at CEAC.

12/14/2014 Send P3 to GUZ

12/16/2014 Updated case AP at CEAC.

01/09/2015 E-mail IV Unit GUZ about case.

01/12/2015 Got E-mail respond IV Unit GUZ.

01/13/2015 Another Updated case AP at CEAC.

01/20/2015 P4-Letter of interview received (e-mail)

01/23/2015 Medical exams.

01/28/2015 Result of Medical exams.

Disregard anything you read about the spousal visa (IR-1/CR-1) process since you are going through the K1 process. The procedures for the visa types are very different and are not interchangeable.

July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

things will start rolling fast for you now. let me see if I can help you. I am still a little confused myself.

you got your numbers.

go to ceac at https://ceac.state.gov/GenNIV/Default.aspx

soon you can do your DS-160 online

have your confirmation printed.

then you will be able to to the cgi stanley pay a fee. and begin looking at interview dates. with your interview scheduled you can get your physical done. P3 and P4 will be along you can look online what documents to have ready for the final interview I-134.

curt19, first ,I want to thank you for your help. this website have been a such a help for my and my fiancé . what do you mean (I am still a little confused myself)

I call NVC and the operator give GUZ # and I ask her for IIN # ,but I was reading (IR-1/CR-1) case, but now I know my case is different (K1) and I will follow your info you give me. I will keep you post it and any help is appreciated. Will I receive any letter from NVC for AOS fee or documents?

Will I receive any letter from NVC for AOS fee or documents?

Now that the NVC has given you a GUZ number, they are now out of the picture. For the K1 process, the NVC is not much more than a mail stop for the file, they assign a case number to the file and send it off to the appropriate location abroad.
