Is there anyone at embassy just waiting to get appt? I feel there is some conflicting information provided when u call the new number for status information.... Any feedback on recent experiences with the new process implemented?

All I know is the best you can do is email the embassy they just take 2 days to answer the email because the new number is not helping with k1 visa info

Thank you for your reply Florlinda... We have emailed, and no response yet. I know that was the case before all these changes took place. I would email and I would get a reply withing 2biz days. Well I emailed on Wednesday still nothing, hopefully I hear something next week, bacause that new number knows NOTHING about K1....

We are also at the embassy since 10/17 waiting for an appointment. I tried calling the new # the other day and had the same experience - I just had our case # (I was at work) and they told me I needed my fiance's passport #, e-mail address, etc etc etc before they could "start" a file on us. I tried e-mailing on Thursday and got back an automated reply listing all different e-mail addresses to use. Which e-mail address are you using?

I had called the old # about 4 times. The last two times I was told that our case was all ready and that they were sending an e-mail to the consulate to please schedule us......

I agree. Anyone please assist.

Yes you gonna get an automed message you should get an answer probably monday or tuesday becauae ia 2 bbussins days is not email them again

Yes, same here, the old number is not longer available, I emailed and no reply yet... I will wait until Tuesday and email again... Maybe it has taken longer due to all the changes that has taken place...

Yes! Finally this morning they replied with my interview date ? FINALLY!!! I had emailed last Wed, and Sunday and Monday....to that same email address.

Dammit this is so scary. If I would have filed a month earlier things would have been a whole lot simpler for my Dominican fiance. I fear this entire upcoming process. It's worse than waiting for NOA2. :(

It can for sure be scary, that's the reason I opened this post... Bacause all the info u get from the "new process" website or phone number nothing has to do with K1 process... The only number we had to call and check on status is not longer available...

I will recommend to keep emailing santodomingovisas@state.gov and wait... It seems to be the only point of contact right now... Apparently they fall behind due to so many changes, hopefully they are back to work!

I got our interview date today from the e-mail. I just wanted to let you know that my e-mail from them said that they were only monitoring that e-mail box for emergencies now.

They said the new e-mail address for inquiries is support-dominicanrepublic@ustraveldocs.com

I hope you hear something soon!
