Expiration date

I haven't found the answer to this question anywhere, I'm sorry if it's already been discussed.

On our NOA2 it says there is an expiration date or something like that (I don't have it in front of me.) I'm just wondering what this means. My fiancé has his medical scheduled for this Friday, but the expiration is fast approaching (December 12.) Just wondering what this means.

Also, is the only time that fiancé will need to affidavit of support at the interview?

Thanks for the help.

I haven't seen his letter of instruction from London, but the ones that I have seen posted do address that expiration. It says to revalidate an expired petition, provide a new letter of intent from the sponsor (you) at his interview. Might as well send one in the mail today in case his interview falls after Dec. 12. They don't always even ask for that, but if his letter says so, then be prepared. Assuming you already sent the I-134 and supporting income proof.
