Does anyone know what number to call to find out your interview date? I'm paranoid that Matt won't get the letter. He moved & put the new address in his readiness form but I worry that the post will mix things up. The London k1 guide is helpful, but I'm a bit confused on who he calls to find out. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

I am the petitioner.

They don't want you to call so there isn't a useful number to give you for the embassy Immigrant Visa Unit. The Department of State (DOS) in the US used to tell you but they won't anymore. Use the contact form to ask.

http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html. Tell them why you are asking so they know you are not just being impatient.

But it is too soon to be asking because it won't be set. Give it at minimum until the week of Thanksgiving. Then they might reply with the date. He's already informed them of the address change.

Yes, Nich-Nick is correct, as always.

You can't call them. Send an online message is the only way.

We had our medical Oct. 8th and still haven't received the interview date.

When we messaged the embassy first they said wait 6 weeks.

Impatiently waiting.. sent another message after 4 weeks. We were told NONE of our paperwork was turned in which was a lie, they were just too lazy to check.

So, we are going to wait another 2 weeks until we try again.

I wish you the best of luck!!!!

Jameel & kassey...have you checked your ceac status? Has that been updated at all? That scares me that it's taken so long for you. I know London received our packed on 10-10. There was an update on the status on 11-4. I haven't checked yet today. I'll try the email thing. Another person I've talked to on the forum got an email from them with their interview date. Do they do that?

I really want him here for Christmas & now I'm scared it won't happen. He filled his readiness form out last week & his medical is on Monday. It's not absurd to think he could be here by Christmas but I'm so worried.

I am sure that both our fiances will be home before Christmas.

I check the CEAC website regularly.

His medical was on the 8th of October. We confirmed with knightsbridge that results were sent, Oct 10th.

The DS160 was filed 7th of October. First readiness was submitted Oct 8th, second sent Oct 15, third sent Oct 30?.. not too sure of exact date on the last one.

On the readiness forms I put our date of marriage. That date may be the reason for our delay. We aren't getting married until Dec 13th. OR it could be our priority date, 20th December.

IDK, I can only make assumptions.

What date of marriage did you use? What is your priority date on your I-797 (NOA2)?

There is only 1 readiness form.

We submitted a second for just in case purposes. We submitted the third when we got false information about our documents.

Our wedding is December 13th.

Did not put down travel plans. However, I would think that they would know it would be prior to wedding.

I am sure the dates we used is the reason for our delay. They are not going to rush to schedule an interview for someone who isn't getting married for another month.

There are people who have used an earlier wedding date to try to expedite their interview date. It has worked for most that I have read.

There were about 8 or so of us that had the same medical date in October. All of them have had or soon to have their interviews. Some have even entered the US. But they were all getting married much sooner or lied about the date they were marrying.

Aside, I am not going to worry any more until after the 6weeks have passed.

Julie--

He isn't even eligible to be considered for an interview date yet so anything you sent is just waiting on the last piece of the puzzle. The medical results have to be at the embassy. Estimate that to be Nov 13 or 14. Then consulate minimum a week to even think they would have an interview set. It could be 4-6 like they say. So that's Nov 17-21 that you wait out hoping they will get to your case. Then Monday Nov. 24 send the email expressing concern that the address changed and you would like email confirmation of the interview date just in case the letter doesn't arrive.

If you ask before you are eligible or too soon they will just tell you to wait 6 weeks. If you give them time to give you an interview, then maybe they will be nice enough to tell you. They do not routinely tell everybody when their interview is via email, but you have a good reason--address change.
