For those who applied for SSN with EAD before Green Card,how do i fill up the form and explain why do i need a ssn?what documents i need to bring?

Just go to the social security office, bring passport and EAD. Fill out the form there and they'll send your card in the mail within a few days.

I saw you other post about ID. When you receive the SS card in the mail, take it with the EAD and get a state ID card at the DMV.

Ok.So today i went to SSN Office to get ssn num.brought my EAD and passport but bc my passport was expired they told me that they cant do anything for me.They gave me a letter that ssn cannot be issued at this time.I went to DMV and got my Temporary ID card valid for 1 year like EAD.Gonna come back on monday to get ssn.

Yes, you said they wouldn't give you SSN because of your expired passport.

Then you said you were going to go back Monday to get your SSN.

So I ask again . . . how is your passport going to become unexpired on Monday.
