My Financee works as a OFW in Hong Kong.. She is divorced in Honk Kong but not annulled in Philippines. I have two questions:

1) Is it possible for her to attend the CFO seminar and aquire a CFO certificate under these circumstances ? Or will her Marital status in the Philippines prevent her from getting CFO counselling and a sticker?

2) If she has K-1 Visa in her passport when she goes to exit the Philippines to return to Hong Kong but also has an OEC for Hong Kong with a valid contract and valid HK visa in her passport will she be denied exit because of the K-1 or will the OEC take precedence and allow her to return to work in Hong Kong?

Where is she going to have the interview?

Interview has been accomplished in Hong Kong and while she was told all was approved and in order her actual visa issuance is suspended pending a letter from my employer to the USEM Hong Kong (Long story but she will get the VISA in Hong Kong)

So why is she flying back to the Philippines? Don't need CFO to fly to America from HK.

Hank,

I will PM you as you seem to be the keeper of all knowledge about CFO. However, to answer your question. We currently live in HK and we are in no hurry to move to the USA and would like to be able to visit her family in the philippines during the time that we are in HK while she has the K-1 in her passport. While we are deciding when (or if) we are going to the USA.

Not sure how the validity of the visa is established in HK but in the Philippines the K-1 visa is valid up to 6 months, but the clock starts ticking on the date of the medical. Just make note of the expiration date on the visa when you get it.
