I sent my application August 21 and it was approved September 16, 2014. Until now I have not received anything from NVC, it has been about 40 days since I received the NOA2 approval notice. Is there a way to find out if NVC has received my application at all or if they even open up my case? What should I do next?

I hope you wouldn't mind answering my questions. Although I can also search info online, I think getting this informations from someone who knows is much better. Thanks.

Since they are taking 60 days to review most documents at the moment, the most you can do is call to ask if they received the application. Otherwise just wait out the 60 days. I know, sucks. :/

Wow that was a fast approval. Did it really take less than a month? You want to call the NVC, they should have received the case by now. Usually the most they take is 30 days to receive the case from USCIS and assign a case number.

This does not constitute legal advice.

Hi Jona,

Thanks everyone! I called NVC earlier, i was put on hold for good 32 minutes, yay, and talked to a rep for less than 1 minute. But anyway, they received my petitions last October 15, but I was told that they haven't started the processing yet, and it can take up to 40 days before they will open the case. I guess waiting is all I have to do.

I see. You can give it a couple more weeks. I didn't receive anything from the NVC until a month after the case was approved by USCIS. They say 40 days, but usually it's sooner than that.
