Hi everyone:

I have a question during forming to replace my green card which is lost.

Now I am a conditional permanent resident holder, and I am applying for renew a 10-year resident. But during the applying the conditional (2-year) green card is lost, and now I need to go back china for several months then come back.

I am applying for 10-year green card through Form I-829 with my parents. We have already filed everything and just wait for result (it will take more than 3 months) so I think that an I-551 is probably what I need.

Do I still have chance to get one I-551 stamp? If so, how?

Thank you for your help and best wishes!

Make an infopass at your local uscis to talk to an officer. They will help you with a stamp. Bring police report, I-829 receipt and your passport. Good luck.

Thank you for helping me. I think I can get the files and I already made an appointment. BTW, will it cost money? Because I see it online that the stamp cost more than 1000 dollars.. Is that true?

Thank you very much!
