DS260 Question

Hi vj friends,

I am filling out DS260 for my Dad.I have a question about the Family information: Children section. The last question in this section is "Is this child immigrating to the US with you" when you select No for this question another question pops up below it which asks "Is this child immigrating to the U.S. at a later date to join you". What should I select because I have filed i130 petitions separately for my brothers and sisters. Will I select yes here in this case.

You would answer no. Also are your siblings unmarried and under 21? If so it would be much faster if dad petitions them when he becomes an LPR.

your answer would be "NO" this is actually for those categories when whole family gets green card through one immigration petition like when one sponsors sibling, the spouse and children get derivative visas so all the information about family members is given. in case of immediate relatives like parents each individual is petitioned separately, therefore no derivative visas. A suggestion for you: If you are petitioning your siblings also check the waiting period. i think it is less in case of F2 catagory as compared to F4. It would be faster if your parents petition their children after getting their GC.
