My wife's medical was 4 Oct. She only needed 3 photos. The Banco popular fee I think is for k1 visa not ir1 cr1. Follow the instructions in the packet4 and also the guides. Best of luck.

I don't have an exact date on when this started, but they're a number of changes in the Visa Interview Process.

1) The Embassy is no longer using Banco Popular. The entire $265us must be paid at the Embassy on the day of your Cita/interview.

2) The Embassy is no longer using DomEx for their visa courier service. They will be using a New "un-named" courier service starting in November.

3) The Visa Medical Facility is now requiring (although it's not on their website) 5 passport pictures (2x2 size) for your medical exam instead of 3.

4) I know recently people have been having a difficult time getting visa information from DOS/NVC for their upcoming interviews. On November 12, there will be a new number to call and website to check your visa status.

829-956-5144 (Dominican Republic) or 703-988-3410 (U.S.). (both are toll-free)

and/or

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/

I will continue to update the Dom Rep NOA2 page and Dom Rep Country Info page as I receive new information.

If you have any questions, let me know.

Thanks Mr. Tee for previous help but I have another question. We are trying to get all of the funds together for medical and visa fee and anything else we need to pay.

So the medical fee will vary depending on vaccines and flu shot correct? The Consular Website states for his age group, the Flu shot is $99.00. and the Medical Exam with the Vaccines is a separate $289.00. And in addition to this amount the Visa Fee is $265.00. Am I correct or am I missing something? Thanks so much.

Correct, the medical cost varies based on age and if it's flu season or not.

Prices:

The Total Cost of the Visa is now $265.

The cost of Visa Delivery was $11us. But it may or may not be changing in November. We'll have to wait and see since they are changing courier services.

Hey all,

I emailed the embassy last friday asking if my fiance should pay the visa fee at the popular or at the embassy.. And they responded to me saying that I can pay the $265 at the day of the interview, which will be November 20th.

Even tho on my fiances packet 4 it stated that he should pay it at banco popular.

Hope this helps anyone.

Were you able to know who they are using to replace DOMEX and if so what is the fee?

The correct # of pictures is 5. My Fiancé's interview is 11/25 and he went today 10/30 and was asked for 5 pictures only.

As for the fees, they are still partly paid at Banco Popular. Unless your letter says otherwise, pay at Banco Pop even though the majority of employees there are clueless. My fiancé had to go to 3 different branches before he found someone competent.

You guys are all welcome! If you hear any thing different or contradictory let me know.

I know there is one "question" regarding the number of passport pictures you need for the medical. The Consultories De Visa website still says "3" are needed. However, I have heard some people say the medical office asked to bring 5 or 6. Until this is verified, whomever has an upcoming medical appointment, should take at least 6 pics until this is confirmed.
