Has any October NOA 2 approvals received any good news from NVC yet?

we received our NOA2 on 3 Oct. just got our NVC case # and Inv. I,D. yesterday 17 Oct.

But from everything I have read the average is 15 -26 days. I started calling early, wish I had waited till day 14, but the suspense of waiting was driving me crazy.

I would say if you wanted to start calling on Monday or Tuesday that would me great, if nothing try back every two or three days.

Ok thank you. I started calling early to because I'm so anxious but I'm going to try calling on Wednesday. I'm just like you I hope my baby is here by Christmas!?

if you have not done so, Now is the time to start preparing for the next steps,

I-134 financials,

complete ds-160 except do not submit, put in dummy info where you do not have it until you have correct info. save it will be good for 30 days.

things to ask yourself,

Police certificates - our consulates requires mailing to them, so we requested it last week

where will your fiancée take medical exam, will they need to a stay over night somewhere because of travel?

we are way ahead of the game my fiancée has everything she needs from me and I will send her an updated packed on the 1st.

Thanks for the advice. I have filled out the ds 160 and i Will take everything with me because i will join my fiance at the interview. I am in the process of getting all my financial information together as well. I hope everything goes smoothly

that sounds good, on the DS160 I believe you must use the new case number provided by NVC showing, they change the case number giving it a consulate specific number, Our consulate is Jerusalem s the first three characters are JRS.

I wish I could be there with my fiancée for the interview, but I will fly in after she gets her visa and spend a week there and fly back with her.

I never thought, in my wildest dreams, as a March filer, that I would also be hopeful for Christmas, but alas, here I am. Thanksgiving was a given back then...hahaha....silly me. Anyway, my NOA2 was 10/9 and my case was just shipped to NVC on 10/16 so I will begin calling Tuesday or Wednesday. After that long wait, I am going to push them every remaining step of the way

MY case was just received at NVC, I took 14 days from date of departure from CSC, most are taking 15 - 20, just so you know.

Please take some advise that was given to me early on, start putting together the information now your fiancée will need, and I mean start now if you have not done so, please read the POST NOA2 and NVC threads on what to do next.

How do you know when the case was shipped to NVC?

I received a text and email about my case status being updated and when I went to the USCIS website, I had a new status stating it had been shipped.

Thank you kindly. My case should be at NVC by Tuesday which would be 12 days so that isn't too bad.

I have been gathering all the documents necessary for the past couple of months so that package will be going out some time this week. I am just trying to find the best (most reliable) method for shipping to Russia. Christmas does seem realistic if everything else goes smooth so that will be a true blessing.
