Translate foreign passport for marriage license?

My Fiancee's has a French passport. Does that need to be officially translated when we present ID info to the Los Angeles county office for our marriage license?

I've looked everywhere but can't find any info pertaining to that question.

Are not French passports similar to most other passports and bilingual on the bio page?
